EXECUTIVE BRIEF : What Changed? Violence did not sneak up on this country overnight. The human heart has been crooked since Eden. What changed is the restraint. We spent decades telling boys that manhood is a problem, telling girls that fathers are optional, and telling the whole culture that God is a private hobby at best. Then we acted stunned when cheap life, cheap sex, cheap drugs, and cheap excuses piled up in the streets. Schools dropped moral formation and called it progress. Cities stopped punishing repeat predators and called it compassion. Screens sold slaughter as entertainment and called it art. Churches too often traded repentance for applause. A people that will not name sin should not be surprised when blood follows. Law without virtue cannot hold. Order without truth will not last. That is what changed, and pretending otherwise is how a nation keeps bleeding.

This weekend several Supervisors and Deportation Officers in ICE, from across the nation, told me that they received an official directive, on Friday evening at 6:00 pm Central, to stand down on all enforcement. The directive stated that all illegal aliens without a criminal history, I know that all illegals are criminals, were to be released. All final orders of removals are also to be released. I want you to understand that a Final Order of Removal means that an illegal alien that had already exhausted all possibilities to stay in the United States and was ordered deported by an Immigration Judge and has refused to compile with that order, is free to roam our nation. How many of those are in the U.S.? Well, only 5,000,000 plus!

EXECUTIVE BRIEF: What Can We Believe is the Truth?Truth is not a press release. It is not a chyron. It is not whatever some talking head needs you to swallow before the next commercial. Scripture says the truth will set you free, and that still holds when the subject is the southern line of this country. Officials now say crossings have collapsed, releases at the border have been cut to zero for months on end, and new barrier miles are going in. That is a real change from the chaos we watched for years. Still, a nation does not get secure because a headline says so. Cartels adapt. Got-aways still exist. Millions who entered earlier remain inside the country, and drugs still kill. Believe the numbers that can be checked. Believe your eyes in the towns that paid the price. Believe the Word when it tells you a people without walls is a people without sense. Then keep watching, because policy can swing again the minute the will to enforce it fades.

Promise the base a hard line, then quietly narrow the net when the heat rises. Scripture says let your yes be yes. When the story flips overnight, treat the official line like a weather report from a man selling umbrellas. Illegal presence is still a crime against a sovereign people. Softening that truth does not make a nation safer, and it sure does not honor the law written for our good.

Temporary status got stretched for years until the courts finally snapped it. Self-deport cash and a plane ticket is not the same as emptying the country of people who broke the law and stayed. Record flights sound impressive until you stack them against the invasion that came in under Biden. A nation of laws does not wink at lawbreaking and call it finished. Romans 13 is not a suggestion. Borders are a duty. Until removals match the scale of the crime, do not sell the remnant a slogan and call it victory.
