Presdient Washington

We are now in 2024 and the treason of illegal immigration has accelerated. The daily arrests of 9,000 seem like a distant memory as the daily arrest totals surpass 15,000 and climb to 20,000. Monthly arrest totals surpass 300,000 with the month of December projected to surpass 350,000. President Biden’s DHS will have arrested over 12,000,000 at the end of his final year in office.

This exempt from my book, Invaded: The Intentional Destruction of the American Immigration System, describes the first time I became aware of the lawlessness and deceit of the federal government. As frustrated and disillusioned as I was to have the curtain pulled back, never in my wildest dreams would I have ever believed our government would so maliciously and openly destroy America.

Chapter 3

Trump vs All Presidents

I just read a letter I sent to my dad during my second year in the Patrol, where I wrote that I could not believe that I was getting paid to do this job and how proud I was to be a Border Patrol Agent. Like many Agents, we were so in the depths of a war that politics and the real intent of the betrayal from our own government did not enter our thoughts. We were having fun and trying to stay alive. As I moved into my third then fourth years of my career, and Gatekeeper had worked, I began to question why the Border Patrol was not moving into the second and third phases of Gatekeeper. We had done the dirty and dangerous job of sealing the border and we, naively, believed we were going to clean out our communities of the hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens. Illegal alien gangs and criminals roamed San Diego and California without fear of being arrested and then deported by Border Patrol. We were all chomping at the bit to move north and impose our will. These same illegal aliens that spat on and cursed us were now going to get their justice and in turn we would make the communities we lived in safer and more prosperous.

This was a time in my career when I was able to stop, breathe, and look around at all facets of the Border Patrol, INS, and the newly formed DHS. Many times, I have wished I wasn’t built to ask questions and was allowed to live in a state of ignorance, but that is not how God built me. I began to openly question why during my off-duty time I had to wade through hordes of illegal aliens in the front of Home Depot or watch hundreds of illegal aliens using our public transportation and not be allowed by our Border Patrol leadership to go back there on duty and arrest them. I was able to piece it all together and I quickly realized that the leaders of my agency were being directed to stop any and all interior enforcement. During this time, my colleagues and I would be stacked on top of each other along the border as maybe one or two individuals would try and cross the border, but thousands and thousands of illegal aliens freely moved about our cities with no fear of ever running into one of us.

I look back on this moment in my career with sadness because this is when I knew the greatest enemy I faced was not the felon that I would have to fight into submission in the dark canyons of the border, but the politicians that used and manipulated both law enforcement officers and illegal aliens as pawns, to enrich themselves with power.

I followed my father into federal law enforcement. My dad was a highly respected and successful Secret Service Agent that guarded presidents LBJ, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, and Clinton. Being a strong Catholic, the greatest assignment my dad had as a Special Agent in Charge was when Pope John Paul II visited the United States in New Orleans, and he had responsibility for the Pope’s protection detail. My father has since passed, and I cherish my framed picture of my father guarding the then Pope John Paul II and now saint. To say I am proud of my dad would be a gross understatement. My dad was the truest example of what a real man was. I miss him.

I have always been a Republican. As Clinton’s presidency ended, I was hopeful that a Republican president would bring an end to the dire border situation. I was still naive. I learned from continuous disappointment that there is no real difference between a Democrat and a Republican; they just maneuver on different levels of lying and deceiving American citizens. I found Bush’s non-action and fence straddling on immigration even more frustrating and disappointing than Clinton’s. I had no expectation of a strong enforcement plan and follow through from a Democrat, but back then I did from a Republican.

President Bush was never going to tackle the immigration situation head on, but then 9/11 hit America. The Border Patrol community was angry because we knew that the failed immigration policies and criminal malfeasance from our government was where the blame lay. Several of the 9/11 terrorists were visa overstays and had once lived in San Diego. I wondered many times if the governmental cowards had not held us back from implementing the other phases of enforcement in Operation Gatekeeper, would one of the twenty-five hundred San Diego Sector Border Patrol Agents have come across one or two of these terrorists during their interior patrol duties? Could arresting just one of these bastards have caused them to halt their horrible attack on America? We will never know, but I do know weak, cowardly, and corrupt leadership always manifests itself in sorrow, pain, and extreme disappointment.

We believed the country and her citizens had been so savagely beaten that the politicians would be forced to react to the nation’s demand for security and safety, that these demands would force the politicians to unshackle immigration law enforcement officers and allow us to enforce the laws we swore an oath to defend. We waited and waited.
